Synopsis

There is an increasing push from consumers and governments for green products, and organisations are trying to transform their supply chains into green ones. Greening of the supply chain has become a competitive advantage for organisations. LOG513 Transitioning to Green Supply Chains provides an overview of environmental issues that impact supply chains. Students will learn how to transform different supply chain functions such as procurement, logistics and product design and integrate them into a greener supply chain. Furthermore, the course covers the importance of circular supply chains and the use of international environmental standards to improve supply chains. Students will discuss best green practices for different functions of the supply chain with real case examples.
