Dr. Woo has taught Communication Studies for 20 years in Australia, Singapore, Brunei and Canada. As an academic, he was awarded and nominated for several teaching excellence awards. He also published a book on rhetoric and public speaking. In 2014, he was the finalist for the Toastmasters International World Championship of Public Speaking and was globally ranked as a top international speaker. Currently he works as a Senior Lecturer with the Centre for Continuing and Professional Education at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
Dr. Chris Woo is an expert in Interpersonal Communications and Psychology. In Brunei, from 2010 to 2019, he provided workshops to the government ministries and notable private companies such as Baiduri Bank, the national telecommunications company - Telbru, the Royal Brunei Airlines and TOTAL Energies. Additionally, while working at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, he was promoted to the position of Director for the university’s internal corporate communications office. He handled the design and production of advertising creative assets, and high-level events for the government and Sultan of Brunei.
